The St. Regis New York
The St. Regis New York, originally founded by John Jacob Astor over a century ago, is revered as one of the finest addresses in the world. Astor’s vision was to create a hotel, which rivaled the finest hotels in Europe, where friends and family would feel as if they were guests in a private home. The majestic Beaux Arts exterior, elegant public spaces, 229 richly designed guest rooms and suites and unparalleled, bespoke service create a luxurious, residential environment. Personalized service and amenities, with St. Regis butlers attending to guests’ every wish and desire are hallmarks of the St. Regis experience.
For over a century, the St. Regis New York has stood as an emblem of style and sophistication in the heart of Manhattan. World-renowned interior designers Sills Huniford oversaw the redesign of the hotel's interiors, emphasizing elegant, modern luxury in custom furniture, fabric and technology. The St. Regis New York also boasts a number of designer suites, including the celebrated Bottega Veneta Suite. Since its debut in 2006, the suite has been one of the most coveted suites in the hotel, mixing pieces from the Bottega Veneta furniture collection and The St. Regis’ existing Louis XVI-style furniture, the perfect juxtaposition of contemporary style and St. Regis signature elegance.
The hotel's famous King Cole Bar remains one of the city's most stately cocktail lounges, nightly drawing the city's elite. In 1934, St. Regis bartender Fernand Petiot perfected the recipe for Bloody Mary, which would become the signature cocktail of the King Cole Bar. Originally called a Bloody Mary, it was renamed as the “Red Snapper,” a name thought to be much more appropriate for the hotel’s elegant clientele. The bar is also home to Maxfield Parrish’s beloved Old King Cole mural. The puckish mural was commissioned by Colonel Astor in 1906 and recently underwent and extensive, $100,000 restoration.
The St. Regis New York is home to the celebrated Michelin starred restaurant, Adour Alain Ducasse at The St. Regis New York. Adour juxtaposes timeless elegance with modern sophistication to present an exceptional culinary experience for both wine connoisseurs and dining enthusiasts alike. It represents Alain Ducasse’s vision to create a wine-focused restaurant within a dynamic landscape where food interacts with wine in an elegant environment. Adour’s menu offers contemporary French cuisine, utilizing the best seasonal ingredients with original and creative touches.
The St Regis New York’s Astor Court offers a traditional afternoon tea, as well as breakfast, and lunch service daily. Located on the hotel’s ground floor, just next to the King Cole Bar, Astor Court offers continental fare in an elegant and welcoming setting. The hotel also boasts over 15,000 square feet of entertaining space, from elegant ballrooms to traditional boardrooms. Guests can also rejuvenate at the fitness center or at The Spa at The St. Regis featuring signature products and treatments by Remède.
The St. Regis New York is ideally located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street, steps from the city’s finest shopping, restaurants and museums.
